I’ve included a brief description of the seminar and a little bit about me below:
The Seminar: Have you ever felt like you had to be “good enough” or measure up to an unreachable standard? I spent most of my life standing on tiptoes, trying to prove I had what it took to be loved, but never feeling like I was quite “enough.” “The Insatiable Quest for Beauty” Seminar shares my journey from struggling with poor body image, disordered eating, and a harmful relationship, into discovering freedom and confidence in Christ’s unconditional love. Through storytelling and performances of original songs, I share my new identity and the steps I took toward freedom from an obsession with perfection.
A little more about me: I’m a 26-year-old dreamer from upstate New York. I have a love affair with putting words on a blank page and marrying lyrics with melody. A homeschool graduate, I have four younger siblings, all of whom are doing incredible things in life already. Some of my favorite things are coffee dates with my girlfriends, long walks, shopping for new clothes, marshmallows and salted caramel hot chocolate (can’t get enough of them!), raspberry chai from Starry Nites Cafe in Rochester, NY, and experiencing different cultures and countries. I am currently a professional nomad…or, in other words, I’m on a full-time, homemade tour across the country with my seminar, book, and CD, and I’m enjoying life to the absolute fullest while doing so! (If you want to check out my tour dates, visit www.tiffany-dawn.net.) However, I do miss my church dreadfully (The Father’s House in Rochester) and I soak up my visits home like an oasis in the desert. I have a bachelor’s degree in music and piano pedagogy and a master’s in music therapy. Someday I hope to open a free-of-charge residential facility for people with eating disorders.
